Watching Extreme Couponing…tis onr of my fave shows. I LOVE bargains! If only I had the patience to do this, I’d die of happiness.
Yet there are a few things that piss me the fuck off about this show.
1. The couponers claim that they’re not hoarders-but actually yes you are! How are you going to stockpile items that will expire before you use them? That’s a fucking waste. I don’t care if you got $20323048 worth of items for -$342, its not necessary to have all those things if you’re not going to use them.
2. Some extreme couponers are inconsiderate of their fellow shoppers. How exciting that you’re about to make a killing in the store. But what about the rest of the people who go shopping and can’t get what they need because some jackass decided to clear the whole cereal isle or something? I’ve seen a few savvy shoppers who call ahead & order their food ahead of time because they buy so much and don’t want to cause trouble for the store or other shoppers.
3. GREED! I’ve only witnessed about 3 people who bought food for others or showed someone else how to be an extreme couponer. One man bought $1,000 worth of food to give away to his local soup kitchen. Mind you it only cost him like $30! Imagine if people gave away half of the food they buy on these shopping trips, think of how many mouths they’d help feed. But in true American fashion, they rarely share or think of others. Just clear out the store and shove this shit in an underground mega cave forever…while they buy more shit.
